About myself
I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Statistical Computing within the School of Mathematics at the University of Edinburgh, where I work with Simon Wood. Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Environmental Sciences, Informatics and Statistics at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, working with Ilaria Prosdocimi. I obtained my PhD in Statistics from the University of Padua in 2025, under the supervision of Bruno Scarpa and Matteo Fasiolo.
I am interested in developing efficient and flexible regression models for the analysis of complex data, with a focus on both theoretical and computational aspects. My recent work involves Generalized Additive Models (GAMs), distributional regression, and applications to environmental data.
Outside of statistics, I am a keen hiker and climber, particularly in my home mountains: the Dolomites.
